      <title>Pesquisas</title>
      <description>&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;span class="titulo"&gt;Pesquisas&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Nanodots magnéticos tem atraído a atenção da comunidade científica devido não apenas as suas diversas aplicações tecnológicas, como em sensores de campo magnético (baseados no fenômeno de magnetoresistência gigante [1]), gravação magnética de alta densidade [2], dispositivos magnetoópticos [3,4], transdutor de pressão, lubrificantes, e alto-falantes (essas três últimas aplicações quando utilizadas como colóides magnéticos), mas também na sua possível aplicação biomédica no diagnóstico (via agentes de contraste na imagem por ressonância magnética nuclear) e tratamento de câncer (via a magnetohipertermia) [5]. O estudo desses sistemas abrange a área da nanociência e pode ter importância significativa no futuro também nas áreas de spintrônica e computação quântica [6,7] sendo portanto de grande interesse científico e tecnológico [8].&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Os sistemas de interesse do nosso grupo consistem de nanodots magnéticos dispersos em diversas matrizes: &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;sólidas&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; (sílica, polímeros, etc) ou &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;líquidas&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; (fluidos magnéticos iônicos, surfactados, e biocompatíveis), podendo os substratos serem metálicos, isolantes ou semicondutores. O grupo tem interesse no estudo de:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;(i) propriedades magnéticas [9-13]&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;(ii) propriedades magnetoópticas[4,14-17]&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;(iii) propriedades de magnetotransporte [18].&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;(iv) propriedades ferrohidrodinâmicas[19].&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;Os &lt;strong&gt;principais objetivos&lt;/strong&gt; do grupo são:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;• elucidar a origem do acoplamento de “exchange” entre nanodots magnéticos;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;•  investigar o efeito do diâmetro e passivação na anisotropia de superfície dos nanodots magnéticos;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;• investigar como a formação de aglomerados (dímeros, trímeros, etc) nesses sistemas altera as propriedades magnéticas, magnetoópticas, e magnetotransporte;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;•  entender como os mecanismos de transporte de massa e calor são influenciados pela cobertura molecular superficial das nanopartículas e a ação de campo magnético;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;•  investigar instabilidades hidrodinâmicas de fluidos magnéticos e fluidos magneto-reológicos;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;•  investigar a estabilidade de colóides magnéticos;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;font size="1" face="Verdana"&gt;• introduzir novas montagens experimentais para estudar as propriedades magnéticas, magnetoópticas, magnetotransporte e hidrodinâmicas desses sistemas magnéticos.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Existem vários projetos em andamento no momento, entre eles:&lt;/p&gt;
